Ann Ekstrom Studio Visit

Last week the TAFA ARTTALK group toured the studio of Texas artist Ann Ekstrom, a second generation painter in Fort Worth. TAFA students enjoyed seeing her colorful, realist-style paintings of objects hanging throughout her art studio that was once a grocery store.

Ann spoke about her intimate connection to color and the objects represented in her paintings. She mentioned technical details about paint materials which the students found intriguing for their own palettes. Ann was gracious and generous with the time she gave us, and her personal journey and success as an artist was inspiring for the students.

Thanks Ann!
